BOOK MATTERS: A two month long festival focusing on the value of books and reading
The Children’s Library joins again the Lopez Memorial Museum and Ortigas Foundation Library in putting up “BOOK MATTERS”, a two month long festival focusing on the value of books and reading starting May 9, 2009 until June 27, 2009. MOBILE READING TOUR “Mga Kwento sa Aming Barangay” BATCH III in 7 Imus Barangays
The Children’s Library along with the Municipality of Imus, Cavite, Sanggunian ng Kabataan and Jollibee of Robinsons Place Imus successfully put up Mobile Reading Tour “Mga Kwentong Pambata sa Aming Barangay” Batch III for seven (7) selected barangays located in Imus, Cavite.

The first batch of the Mobile Reading Tour Program was launched last May - July 2008 and second batch was held from September to October 2008.

Storytelling sessions, arts and crafts activities, mascot appearances from Jollibee and reading sessions using storybooks from TCL were just some of the exciting and fun activities done in the scheduled Mobile Reading Tour Program.


JG SUMMIT – SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR PROGRAM


On its secondth year, JG Summit Holdings, Inc. together with Scholastic held a Book Fair Program last May 13 - 15, 2009 at the business offices of Universal Robina Corp., CebuPacific and JG Summit Holdings, Inc. A special book donation program was conducted to help build and add more books to The Children’s Library collection. For every book purchase, the employees of JG Summit get to chance to help the Children’s Library in fulfilling its Book Wishlist. Ten percent of the total sales of the Book Fair Program shall be donated to TCL.
