8TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
Happy 8th Anniversary to The Children’s Library!
The Children’s Library will be celebrating its 8th year Anniversary in July 12 (Novaliches) and July 19 (Imus).
The celebration will showcase various activities such as face painting, balloon twisting, puppet show performances, storytelling, trivia games for kids plus special guests. Activities will be held at the Mall Activity Areas of Robinsons Nova Market and Robinsons Place Imus. An in - house activity such as the Art Around the World and a special presentation by TCL’s Volunteers shall be showcased.
TCL SUCCESSFULLY HOLDS THE “I LOVE KIDZFEST”SUMMER WORKSHOPS AND BOOKFAIR
The Children’s Library have successfully prepared a variety of workshops and a book fair for kids entitled “I LOVE KIDZFEST” last April 12 (Robinsons Place Imus) and April 26 (Robinsons Nova Market) from 1 – 4 pm at the Mall Activity Areas. The workshops held include Math and Arts & Crafts Workshops for kids. Free face painting, storytelling sessions and mascot appearances were also offered.
A total of 201 participants in both Novaliches and Imus events attended. Activities include a Math Workshop by Mr. Cornel Bongco for Imus, Cavite and Ms. Elizabeth Aromin for Novaliches entitled “Math Multiplication Magic”. Arts and Crafts workshops entitled “Wind Lanterns Workshop” and “Hand Puppets Workshop” were conducted by Special Volunteer Ms. Bennie Rose Reno on both events.
Book fair participating publishers include Filway Marketing Inc., National Book Store, Philippine Christian Book Stores, Vibal Publishing House and ADARNA Publishing House, Inc.
The “I LOVE KIDZFEST” Summer Workshops and Book fair was made possible through the generous support of the Gokongwei Brother’s Foundation, Robinsons Malls, Universal Robina Corporation, Hot Loops, Summit Media Publishing, Ministop, Robinsons Movieworld, and Chic Center Corporation.
TCL participates in the MOBILE READING TOUR in Imus Barangays
The Children’s Library joins the Municipality of Imus, Cavite and the Sanggunian ng Kabataan in putting up the Mobile Reading Tour “Mga Kwentong Pambata sa Aming Barangay” for eight (8) selected barangays located in Imus, Cavite. The Mobile Reading Tour was launched in May and will run until July 2008. Storytelling sessions and storybooks from TCL were available for browsing during the event.

The Mobile Reading Tour was made possible through the generous support of the Municipality of Imus Honorable Mayor Emmanuel L. Maliksi, Sanggunian ng Kabataan President Ms. Zarrah R. Camerino, Consultant and Educator Mr. Victor Cuarto and the eight (8) Barangay Captains in the abovementioned Imus barangays.
8TH ANNUAL TEACHER – LIBRARIAN SEMINAR
Watch out for this year’s 8th ANNUAL TEACHER – LIBRARIAN SEMINAR to be held on August 22, 2008!
This year’s Seminar will be in partnership with Ortigas Library and Lopez Memorial Museum & Library. A total of 80 - 100 participants are expected to attend the Seminar coming from Elementary Schools located in Pasig City, Novaliches, QC and Imus, Cavite. Pre-registration will be needed in order to participate in the Seminar.
